Prospector tents are external frame
tents that are re-enforced at ridges, eaves and include grommets on the
outside of the peak and eaves. Interior stress and friction points are
lined with abrasion resistant cordura nylon. Available in natural or FR
convas. Natural canvas is very breathable and not water repellant so it requires a fly over the roof. The fabric is of a looser weave than the FR canvas and has a shrink factor of up to 10%. A sod cloth is recommended with this type of fabric to help keep the walls off of the floor or ground and prevent rapid mildewing. Fire Retardant canvas is mould , mildew and fungi resistant as well as flame retardant (CPAI-84). The water resistant coating allows the fabric to breath. Shrinkage is within 2%. |

must be oversized to allow for some shrinkage.
Full length peak and eave re-enforcement is added to framing stress points.
